We haven't drawn the line between free and paid yet. The beta is how we figure out what's actually worth charging for, and your feedback decides where it lands. Beta users get early pricing and plenty of warning before anything changes.
A quick word on Sparks.
Subscriptions are a clumsy fit for AI: heavy users cost a fortune, light users overpay. So NBU runs on Sparks, small credits that power Valerie's AI work, like categorizing a tricky import or answering a question. A standard AI action costs about 10 Sparks. Reading a PDF costs some too, since it takes AI to parse. A plain CSV costs none.

We're a small team in Montréal building something we think the Canadian market needs. The beta helps us learn how people actually use NBU before we finalize the paid plan.
